Melissa Philbeck joined Dental Justice in 2008 and has assumed the role of Director of Operations for Dental Justice.

Ms. Philbeck brings with her an impressive 15 years in senior management in healthcare in both hospital based and corporate settings. Ms. Philbeck graduated with a BMMT in Music Therapy from the University of Evansville in 1983 and started her career as a Registered Music Therapist working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.

Upon completion of her MBA from Tampa College in 1991, Melissa joined the management team at BayCare Health System, a family of not-for-profit hospitals. There she developed and directed the operations for BayCare Life Management, an employee assistance program, managed behavioral healthcare, and outpatient behavioral healthcare departments. Her expertise in the areas of provider relations, contracting, and revenue management, made her an ideal fit for her role there and then as Senior Group Business Manager at Physiotherapy Associates, a division of the Stryker Corporation.

At Physiotherapy Associates, Ms. Philbeck served as business liaison between her 27 outpatient clinics and the regional and corporate leaders on all matters related to contracting, reimbursement, compliance and business development. During her tenure her business staff was the top performer amongst over 100 groups within the company.
